PFMS (Public Financial Management System) is the Government of India's payment and accounting platform, run by the Controller General of Accounts. Indian Customs pays duty drawback and IGST export refunds through PFMS, so an exporter's bank account must pass PFMS validation before those refunds can be credited.
Why does PFMS validation fail?
Usually because the bank account name does not match the IEC, the IFSC changed after a bank merger, or the account is closed.
How is it fixed?
By correcting the bank details on the customs record and tracking validation. See our PFMS validation service.
