Customs pays duty drawback and IGST export refunds through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), and the payment only reaches you if your bank account passes PFMS validation. Import Export Advisor checks why validation is pending or failed, corrects the account details with Customs and follows up until the status clears, for a flat ₹999 professional fee.

Who is PFMS Registration for?
Right for you if
- Exporters whose refund status shows PFMS validation pending or failed
- Exporters who changed bank, account or IFSC
- New exporters registering a refund account for the first time
Not what you need if
- RoDTEP and RoSCTL credits, which arrive as e-scrips in your ICEGATE ledger, not through PFMS. See RoDTEP.
What documents are needed for PFMS Registration?
We send an exact checklist for your business type before filing. Typically you will need:
- IEC certificate
- Cancelled cheque or bank certificate of the refund account
- Bank statement showing the account name exactly as on the IEC
- ICEGATE login and Class 3 DSC
Why does PFMS validation matter for exporters?
Drawback and IGST refunds are sanctioned by Customs but disbursed through PFMS. If PFMS cannot validate the account, the refund is not credited even though it has been sanctioned.
Why does PFMS validation fail?
Validation usually fails because the account holder name at the bank does not match the name on the IEC, the IFSC has changed, or the account is closed or inactive.
- Name mismatch between the bank record and the IEC
- IFSC changed after a bank merger or branch move
- Account closed, dormant or converted
- Wrong account type or digits entered on the customs record
How do you fix a PFMS validation problem?
We identify the mismatch, correct the bank details on the customs record or with the bank, and track the status until PFMS shows the account as validated.
- 01Verify bank details against the IEC
- 02Correct the customs bank record
- 03Track PFMS validation
- 04Confirm pending refunds are released
What the ₹999 fee includes
- Diagnosis of the validation status
- Correction of bank details
- Follow-up until validated
- Check of pending refunds
Government and council fees, where they apply, are stated before filing. Compare every fee on the pricing page.

PFMS is the government payment system through which Customs credits duty drawback and IGST export refunds to your bank account.

How long does PFMS validation take?
Usually 3 to 7 working days once the correct bank details are submitted.
Will my old refunds be paid after validation?
Sanctioned refunds that were held because of a validation failure are generally released after the account validates. We track each one.
