RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) is the Indian export scheme, in force since 1 January 2021, that refunds central, state and local duties and taxes built into the cost of exported goods and not refunded under any other scheme. The refund is issued as a transferable e-scrip on ICEGATE. It has been extended to 31 December 2026.
How is the RoDTEP amount calculated?
As a notified percentage of the FOB value for each tariff line, often with a value cap per unit, listed in Appendix 4R (DTA) and 4RE (AA, EOU, SEZ).
How is RoDTEP claimed?
Declare it on the shipping bill, then generate the e-scrip on ICEGATE after export. See our RoDTEP service and RoDTEP vs duty drawback.
